

Yamaha India plans to launch the recently displayed SZ model at the Auto Expo in India. As the rumors to be believed, the new SZ Model will be out in the 3rd week of February, yes you heard it right.
Yamaha SZ bike will sports the same 150cc engine which already doing its job in the FZ group of models.
Yamaha SZ will get conventional twin rear shocks and disc brakes in the front and will be priced at Rs 55000 to Rs 60000 (Ex, Showroom or On-Road Price).
Why Yamaha SZ at 150cc?
Yamaha wanted to give a break to its rival bikes including the Honda Unicorn, Bajaj Pulsar and the little boy Pulsar LS 135.
Yamaha India is reported to launch a bike in India by February this year. The new bike from Yamaha will be Yamaha SZ, the concept bike which was displayed at Delhi Auto Expo. The bike will be positioned in the FZ series segment of Yamaha. Yamaha SZ will sport 150cc engine which might produce the same power, torque figures and fuel economy. The bike likely to be priced between Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000. The new Yamaha bike will be positioned against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS and Honda Unicorn.
The bike is expected to have disc brakes, twin rear shock absorbers and FZ series like appearance. Yamaha India is also reported to launch a commuter bike in order to capture 10 per cent market share in India by launching new Yamaha bikes in India. The commuter bike to be launched is Yamaha YBR which was also showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2010. The bike will be based on Yamaha Alba. According to initial reports, it may have the 1
06cc engine that powers Yamaha Alba, Yamaha G5 and Yamaha Crux. The refined engine is to give around 60-70 kmpl in city. It might have the price tag of Rs 45,000 in India. This commuter cum entry-level bike would be aimed to rural areas. However, these bikes will have to face tuff competition from Hero Honda Karizma ZMR and Hero Honda Splendor Plus.
