Ducati Motor Holding, worlds leading producer of racing-inspired motorcycles, announced the foray of its premium motorcycle segment into the Indian market on Wednesday.
Ducati has chosen Precision Motor India Private Limited as its Indian partner. On this occasion, Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO, Ducati announced the 2007 Moto GP World Champion manufacturer’s entry into the young and exponentially growing Indian market.
Over the next few months, a detailed launch strategy is to be developed by Ducati and Precision Motor India for India.
The vast opportunities prevalent in the Indian market have led Ducati to sign a long-term partnership agreement with Precision Motor India Private Limited as the exclusive importer of Ducati motorcycles in India.Precision Motor India is an established company from a group which represents various major brands in India; including Porsche, Audi, NetJets, Fendi and Dolce&Gabbana.
Speaking on the occasion Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO, Ducati said, “We strongly believe that the fast growing Indian market is of a strategic importance to Ducati and we will do our best to consolidate our presence and to capitalize on the huge opportunities this country has to offer.”

Ducati founded in 1926, produces motorcycles in six market segments which vary in their technical and design features and intended customers: Superbike, Desmosedici RR, Monster, Multistrada, SportClassic and Hypermotard.
