It's finally here! Bajaj has launched the 135cc Pulsar in New Delhi. Called the Pulsar 135LS, the motorcycle is powered by the first Indian engine that has 4 valves. The engine puts out 13.5 PS peak power at 9,000 rpm and 11 Nm peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The Pulsar weighs a light 122kg, giving it a power-to-weight ratio that allows it to challenge most 150cc rivals.
What else is new about this bike? The cradle-frame chassis on the other Pulsars gives way and the engine is mounted as a stressed unit. The bike also sports clip-on handlebars, a step-seat, Nitrox shock absorbers, tachometer and digital speedo with a fuel gauge.
At a price of Rs 51,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) the 135LS looks set to take its class by storm.
Stay tuned for our first riding impressions.
